I feel that in recent years tablecloths have sort of gone out of style and become something associated more with a stuffy older relative rather than with a hip host or hostess. So I've pulled together a little selection of modern tablecloths for inspired holiday table settings. The selection includes tablecloths made of recycled or organic materials and some that are handwoven or handprinted.

Sprout Side Table
I think it less has to do with tablecloths going out of style, and the fact that people are buying much, much more expensive, flashy tables. I know that I am not going to put a table cloth on my super dark stained distressed table unless for some reason I absolutely have to.
Table clothes are fairly impractical for all my table uses. All my tables are easier to clean and harder to damage than a table cloth. Coasters. Coasters are the new table cloth.
