Organized for designers and renovators, Ecolect is a website that catalogs sustainable materials. Features include user images and reviews, case studies, and a design blog. Their green criteria? Although they acknowledge that no green product is perfect, they look for materials that fit all or some of the following standards: biodegradable, recycled content, locally sourced, and energy-efficient...
The site has a lot of great content, but in order to be a true library of information, Ecolect will have to up the ante in terms of cataloging. Materials are currently searchable only alphabetically and by date. We'd love to see some easy-to-search categories (like tile, paints, flooring, etc). Click here to see ecolect's catalog, and here to read their blog.

The site doesn't appear to have much content at all.
Sweets.com has a larger selection of green materials.
I know one of th co-founders personally. He is a recent RISD graduate, and as seniors in the industrial design program here we have made sure to keep in contact with him to further our green knowlege. He has assured us that some big new steps are in the works so keep checking back!
