We've written about Japanese interior design books from Édition Paumes before here. Since then we've discovered another publisher of interior design "mooks" (magazine + book) that showcase European interiors by way of Japan.

Editions de Paris focuses on everyday lives of Parisians and their homes. And like the Paumes series, these mooks are entirely in Japanese but you really want them for the photographs anyway.

There is an English version of their site here but if you want to purchase books online, you will be directed to Yahoo Japan's shopping site, which is not the easiest to navigate. Your best bet is to visit Kinokunyia Bookstore which has locations in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland (Beaverton), San Jose, Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, New York and Nyack.

They're a little harder to get and at today's exchange rate, they cost about $28 but they are packed with inspiration so we think they are worth the extra effort and money.
