Name: TBD (nicknamed Eeny Meeny), (due 11/28)
Location: Calgary, Canada
Color Inspiration: Early in my pregnancy, I picked up a Flensted balloon mobile while in Copenhagen, where my family is from. I loved how playful and bold the primary colors were, and knew instantly that this would be a focal point! In addition, my mother had gifted me two Danish watercolors with vibrant red and blue hues. I wanted these to be another major component of Baby's space. Because our space is rented, I could not paint; instead I decided to use daring colors that would pop against white walls, and was aiming for a bit of a modern Scandinavian feel.
Tip for Using Color: Don't be afraid to mix things up, even in a small room! I was initially only using complementary colors (red, orange and yellow), but found that adding small pops of color from the opposite side of the color wheel (blues and turquoises), brought a lot more depth to the tiny space.
Colors Used: Red, orange, and yellow with blue/turquoise accents
Thanks for your colorful entry Jennifer and good luck!

White Enamel Flatwa...
I love the colors!! Good work Jenn!
I totally feel it!
Totally dig it.
Very sweet!!! Love the color scheme.. Where ever did you find that tiny, little side table next to the rocker?
What a wonderfully practical room!
totally love how this room looks realistic.
Lovely! Where is that crib from? I love it because it is a nice, simple design.
Many thanks for the kind comments!! We'll be moving soon and likely not taking furniture with us, so kept to a tight budget by shopping at Ikea - the crib is their Gulliver model, and the side table was from a set we'd previously purchased at Ikea - no idea if they still carry it, unfortunately!
The side table did look a lot like an Ikea product- they only have bigger ones now. Best wishes for the birth of your child!
please tell me where you got the orange sheet? the room looks so cute and well put together.
Many thanks! The orange sheet is by Litto Kids - I ordered from a great Canadian website (www.babybot.com), but I'm sure you could find it find elsewhere!
