Wow. Awesome. If there's one thing we love about living in New York, it's how crazy you need to get in order to try to fit your stuff into a 8-by-10 room and still have enough to squeeze in an area for you to get work done. But after seeing the KUBE by Ligne Roset & La Cox, we fairly certain we have a new candidate for the most efficient desk out there...
...we can't say the same about ergonomics, however. The chair itself can slide flush under the desk (and we'll admit, that's pretty efficient), but the problem comes when you imagine yourself sitting in a seat without proper back support, hunching over to type on a screen, with relatively sharp edges cutting off the circulation to your arm over a long period of time.
But health complaints aside, it truly is an amazing piece of industrial design. As a side-table, we think this would make great use of space. Made from painted glass, mineral resin, and polished stainless steel, you can take one for a test run at the KUBE Hotel located in Gassin, France.
