Being that it's Eileen Fisher, we thought it would all be organic as well, but it's not. Next time.

Wow. I am (almost) speechless.
I was hoping that they would continue with last winter's pieces... frankly, I preferred the 2006 fall/winter collection. Silly me, I thought it was timeless, and that they would continue to produce and sell it... It is about as bad as discontinuing a china pattern... It is not a cheap collection, and so it takes time to save up for the cashmere blankets and silk quilts...
Monika -- I think much of the earlier collection is still available at Garnet Hill, just not as prominently displayed as the new stuff. You can also check out the Eileen Fisher website, which carries bed linens as well. Good luck.
Can cashmere or silk even be "organic"?
I guess linen can, but I always thought of linen as being pretty green to start with, whereas cotton is not the greenest of crops to grow, due to (general) sensitivity to disease and pests, and needing a massive amount of irrigation.
And yeah, this is at least the second season of her line for Garnet Hill.
Alas, last year's collection is long gone (I've been trolling for months). First, the key pieces I wanted sold out on GarnetHill (the story of all my attempts to buy from them), and then they switched to an Eileen Fisher summer bedding collection. There were a couple of old pieces left, so I hoped that it would be brought back in the fall with fresh stock. No such luck! ALL of it is gone now. And the Eileen Fisher website just has the summer stuff. My only hope is that maybe there is some of the original bedding left at eileenfisher.com; would have to check with their personal shopper.
Very disappointing. And I really don't like the nutmeg colourway this season.
