As posted on Monday, I'm a fan of over-the-top outdoor holiday decorations and have always enjoyed driving through festive neighborhoods. The more elaborate and over-the-top, the better. Of the top 10 list of destinations for Holiday Lights, did your city make the list?
According to Yahoo Travel, the top 10 destinations for holiday lights are:
1. New York City
2. Newport Beach, CA
3. Walt Disney World
4. Denver, CO
5. Chicago
6. Branson, MO
7. McAdenville, NC
8. San Antonio, TX
9. Virginia
10. Baltimore, MD
Did your city make the list? Read more about why these 10 were chosen by clicking here.

Yay for Baltimore! I love taking my dog on a walk through 34th St at Christmastime :)
san antonio riverwalk
is absolutely beautiful
anytime of the year
I have friends with great spirit who call this over-the-top style "Going Griswald"! I think it's a theme that is catching on!
San Antonio Riverwalk! Last Christmas we spent 4 days staying directly on the Riverwalk and it was absolutely beautiful. I even snowed (!!) while we were there! Don't forget about Marshall, Texas - the whole town is involved!!
where do they store all that stuff?!?!
@fennpepper - I'm guessing since most of this stuff is inflatable, they can go into boxes or lie flat.
Every year I try to find that treasure trove town or neighborhood in Chicago that does it up big so we can take the kids through, but I've never found a solid place.
Anyone know of a great, well-saturated area for a holiday lights drive?

I was just talking about this w/my boss a few minutes ago - we're in Milwaukee, and there's essentially just one neighborhood we know about (dubbed "Candy Cane Lane")... I'm willing to travel to find more!
I second 34th street in Baltimore. We used to live a few blocks away and we loved taking the kids there. It is way funky and creative.
Austin's Home Street and a couple of neighboring streets have the funkiest and most interesting display I've ever seen, and I can't believe no one's mentioned it yet. I've been gone ten long years and it's STILL something I miss.
