Eleanor's Peaceful, Pink Nursery

My Room

Name: Eleanor (1 month)
Location: Richmond, Virginia

We found out we were expecting while living abroad in London last year and moved back when I was almost 6 months pregnant. I had to move our son out of the nursery and redecorate for the little girl we were expecting in a short timeframe.

I used Pinterest for inspiration before we moved home and the furniture and decor are a mixture of items we picked up abroad, ordered online and repurposed in our house. The pink paint color (Benjamin Moore's Wild Astir) was my jumping off point and I knew I wanted to do a lot of natural textures as well.

The alphabet cards above the crib are from the Tate Modern gift shop in London clipped on craft store twine. The rub is a remnant from a carpet store in town and the glider chair is from Haverty's. My mother-in-law sewed the curtains from fabric I found at a local shop.

I love how the room turned out and find it a very soothing place to sit and rock Eleanor. Everything in the room has meaning and that makes it very special to us.
