Natalia Ivancevich Hayes is a paper cutting whiz. Her delicately detailed hand cut paper pieces make the sweetest translucent window treatments that create the loveliest layered forest effect.
She has made them for residential settings as well as storefronts and wedding backdrops. I think they make a really sweet and peaceful addition to any room.

These are beautiful but PAPER? How long would they last or are they a 'one time only' gig?
Oh my god, I think I went to summer camp with her -- must have been at least 15 years ago! Whitney, if you happen to read this, did you go to Camp Sloane in CT??
Either way, these paper cut outs are beautiful - I could imagine them making a really nice room divider too, especially with a lot of light shining through!
This is gorgeous. Gives me a feeling of being in a cottage on the edge of a forest at dusk.
Wow, these are beautiful.
These are amazingly gorgeous! They would never last in my house because of all the dust out here in AZ, but wow, I wish!
I think your information is incorrect. If her blog is to be believed, Whitney Gaylord credits the window treatments in her home to Natalie Hayes. The website featuring the paper works themselves also seems to belong to one Natalie Hayes.
"Her gorgeous papercuts have turned our living room into a fairy forest. Check out her website http://thepapercutter.virb.com/ and commission one for yourself!"
I should clarify that that quote is from Whitney Gaylord's blog. :)
@ the wintering. wow, thank you for that clarification!
Beautiful, beyond words.
Beautiful! o.c.d., and truly Wonderful!
Natalie is a dear friend of mine and her work is amazing. She does use paper, but often tyvek as well- which never tears, is water-proof, and sure to last a life time. and, yes! I did got to camp sloane :) www.whitneygaylord.com

@maker.whitneyg, ahhh small world! If you remember a short awkward girl in your tent one year named Joanna... that's me. :) Glad to see you're doing well!!
