Birds have been the ubiquitous animal present in decor for awhile. But lately, elephants are making a big impact. From stylized to realistic, Indian to African, here are some elephant accessories for every room.
1&2. It's gardening month, so let's start outside! The pachyderm plant stand and watering can will keep your petunias pretty & hydrated.
3-5. These playful elephants would be at home in kids' rooms, though could live elsewhere in the house for a touch of whimsy.
6. The simplified silhouette of these statues won't add to the visual clutter on a well-filled bookcase.
7. I love the idea of these Anthropologie hooks in an entryway as a little surprise for guests, though they would be equally charming in the bedroom or bathroom.
8. I have an obsession with their chic pens, but this Iomoi tape dispenser may be their fanciest office supply.
9&10. Bright Indian elephants for the kitchen. I'm particularly entranced by this teapot, and will be getting one of each in turquoise and coral when the Calypso line debuts on Sunday!
11. Not immediately recognizable as a chew toy, I'd put this little guy on a shelf until the puppy of my dreams comes along.

My husband and my best friend LOVE elephants, so I'm always on the lookout for cute ones. I bought a white one from HomeGoods (and the same one for her in green) and we have a chrome (yes, chrome) one by the tv as well.

Love elephants! I used to have the cutest pink elephant watering can that I got at Target. Wish I could find one like it again!
in an exciting discovery, the target in jersey city screwed up and already put out most of the calypso stuff already (save for the clothes)! saw these elephant tea pots there.. they're really cute!
I have a big collection of elephant items-I can't believe they are becoming trendy. I have to stagger their placement around the house so I don't overdo it. My favorites are a vintage silver Dansk ele my husband found on ebay, an Indian antique carved wooden juicer in the shape of an elephant, and this gorgeous candle in a porcelain pot I received as a wedding gift.

My boyfriend and I always joke about the next trendy animal--and we've even gone back and thought of animals that were trendy in the past. The golden retrievers and dolphins of the 90s, anyone? The penguins of the early millenium? The infamous birds, especially owls. And for a while now, whales. Elephants and girafes are the next great thing.
