Eli Phant is an playfully curated shop, located out of the way of Portland, Maine's beaten tourist track and stocked with a mix of unique handmade and designer goods and artwork.
The space doubles as a gallery featuring monthly shows of affordable artwork by local and regional artists. The store's owners, husband and wife Peter Eiermann and Sally Struever, pay attention to all the charming details, like designing custom cards with background information on all the artists and wrapping your purchases up in sweet shopping bags that are hand-sewn and stamped. On sale is artwork, tableware, home goods and accessories by some of our favorite makers including Donna Wilson and Third Drawer Down as well as tons of local artists and designers and products created by the owners themselves. If you can't stop by in person, we definitely recommend at least a visit to their online shop.

I stopped by Eli Phant earlier this summer and it was a wonderful surprise! They have such an awesome, eclectic mix of indie goods. Definitely worth a visit if you stop by Portland!
Thanks for the feature, Sarah! I'm so glad you enjoyed the shop!
Also, we've updated the site's security and have cleaned the site- so your reader's should feel safe visiting the website.
Thanks again,
Sally
Great store, love this stuff. Yeah Donna Wilson.
Just bought one of her owl pillows.
I love that store and really need to go to the west end of Portland more. Also, I have an Erin Flett pillow (her pillows are in picture 1 and 4) although I got direct from her but I love that you are selling stuff from talented local designers! And the prints you have in the store are so wonderful.
Eli phant's location on Congress Street has closed...for now anyways!
