My husband and I wanted to create a space that was fun, bright and comfortable for the baby and for us. We had a tight budget so we really focused on using things we already owned to create a great space.
My husband really wanted to name this baby Hank (he lost that battle!) so the Hank Williams poster is a nod to that desire. We already owned and loved the poster so the color scheme and overall "modern cowboy" feel was born from there. We didn't have money in the budget to frame all of the prints we had on hand so I decided to use clothespins as a cool way to hang the artwork. They added just the right amount of color and personality to the space. We added some other small DIY touches like the banner and the mobile to make it a little bit more personal for our little man. Hopefully he loves it as much as we do!!

Great job! It's really nice to have a grown-up's bed in the baby's room.
By the by, my friend had that same ceiling fan and spray-painted it white with good results.
Love it! Great posters
So lovely!
However, I would strongly caution you against hanging the banner close to the crib. It's pretty, and any baby would want to pull on it! Kids can pull themselves up to stand quite early, and sometimes we learn that children can stand up when, one day, we walk into their rooms and there they are!
Because of this, the banner is a strangulation hazard. Sad to say, I know of some very close calls on this point. Babies, toddlers, and even preschoolers aren't smart enough to untangle themselves, and they're preferred strategy for getting out of a bind is to pull.
Enjoy your new baby! :)
looks great! would love to know the paint colour on the walls.
paint is a color match from a postcard - sorry i don't have anything more specific!
I think you are great with the banner until that baby is sitting and standing. Enjoy it for a few months!
I really enjoyed this room. I am about to move my son into the same room as my daughter (their request) and she has this same Ikea bedding, in red dots, and he has a white crib! Also, I really like the clothes pin idea - fun!
