What I Love About My Small Home:
I love the layout with a nice flow from the living room to the dining room – it makes my home feel bigger than it actually is. I am definitely not complaining about the size of my apartment though – it’s a lot of space to work with. Having a spare room is a real luxury. The hallway isn’t of much use with all those doors. So I decided to use the spare room as an extension of the hallway. One wall is completely covered with books and in my opinion that always is great use of space.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
1.It takes time to find the perfect vintage and modern pieces – and to save up for the occasional splurge – but it’s well worth it. It will make your place feel much more personal.
2.Dare to make tough choices. Living in a small space means you can’t have it all! Find out if there is a flea market nearby and make someone else very happy with your beloved but over complete stuff.
3.Always tidy up before you leave the house or go to bed: waking up in or coming home to an uncluttered house really makes a difference.
