14 years after creating the Aeron chair, Herman Miller designed the Embody, supposedly one of the ultimate experiences for your posterior. The Embody chair is one of the most comfortable and ergonomic chairs currently on the market. Also, it's one of the most technologically advanced. Just check out the back of it.
What you are seeing are flexors, which are strategically positioned to let your back rest easy. The seat cushion is also specially designed with 93 interconnected discs to move with you as you fidget away at your desk. These discs are so advanced that its designers actually call them pixels. It took them over two years to design this baby.
The Embody will be available in 13 different colors and three different finishes as soon as early 2009. They are expensive, but hey, if you can rest your back easy all day at work or in the home office, they are worth their price. They will retail for about $1600. That's almost twice the price of the Aeron, but that's the price you'll pay for all that tech.
