With 2/3 of the country buried under a mountain of snow and ice, we thought now would be a good time to talk about celebrating the weather instead of spending our days being annoyed by it. Call the friends, throw on the snow suits and have an outdoor BBQ, complete with this diy snow/ice buffet table!
This year seems to be a winter for the record books in most parts of the country. As much as we love winter (and we really do!), there comes a point where you either go crazy over it, or suck it up and have some fun.
No one wants to go anywhere, but everyone wants to get together and when the temperatures are cold and the weather is harsh, sometimes it needs a planned (and partially epic) event to get everyone moving!
Host a winter get together and try your hand at making this outdoor buffet table for a little added bonus. All it takes is snow, water and a few trashcans (for inner support, though we're guessing you could substitute for what you have on hand).

Don't forget to make a few outdoor snow candles to spice things up, they're like little glowing igloos.!

haha definitely not a "buffet" table the way it is set up, that is a beer pong table!
My friends and I used to do this in college everytime there was a snow day we'd have a Snow B Q. We brought out a fire bowl and build couches from snow covering them with blankets. It was surprisingly comfortable. But then again minus the alcohol it would probably have been freezing.
HAHAHAHA I love that that is not a buffet table but that it is set up for a good old fashioned game of BEER PONG!!
well this is just fantastic
The ultimate in alcohol-chic. I think I want one.
Sarah, any chance you went to school in Madison? This has "UW undergrad" written all over it!
Lol sally305 - I went to UW-Madison and this is TOTALLY something my guy friends would have done had they thought outside the box a little bit. Hilarious.
sally305 - Sadly, I didn't go to school in Madison. Yes, I know it's set up for beer pong, but I figured for those who aren't big on the red cup games... it could pull double duty :)
I read this and laughed... buffet table. I went to so many parties in college where the "buffet tables" were set up like this!
