Name: Cadee Harris, owner & aesthetician at Emerald City Eyebrows
Location: Golden Triangle, Denver, Colorado
Size: 800 square feet
Years in business: 10 years; 1 year at this location
While hunting for a new location for her business, Cadee Harris visited a shop in Denver's Golden Triangle neighborhood and instantly fell in love with the exposed brick, natural light and back patio. In less than a month she transformed the shotgun style open room into a cozy, stylish private appointment skincare salon and was open for business.
Cadee's penchant for design extends far beyond shaping brows; she up-cycled and created many pieces in the shop with a little help from her girlfriend. They constructed rolling room dividers and added antique doors with glass panes at one end to take advantage of every bit of natural light. Another noteworthy piece is Cadee's industrial table in her aesthetics room. She combined a tanker credenza with a custom acrylic top, custom cabinet doors and industrial casters to create the perfect vintage-industrial-medical supply cabinet.
From doorknobs to a glittery gold barber chair and everything in between, Cadee's perfectly curated space is a great place to spend an afternoon being pampered and inspired.
Apartment Therapy Survey:
My Style: Eclectic, modern vintage.
Inspiration: The Wizard of Oz, 1930's & 40's Hollywood.
Favorite Element: The exposed brick and outdoor space.
Biggest Challenge: Maintaining the bright, open gallery feel of the space while still providing a private and cozy place for waxing and facials.
What Friends Say: "I want to live here!" or "I want to just hang out here all day!"
Biggest Embarrassment: The old brick is beautiful but crumbly! I sweep a lot!
Proudest DIY: The wall made of vintage doors, the 1960's steel credenza i customized for a perfect work station, and the custom framed flat screen hanging above the fireplace!
Biggest Indulgence: The Sputnik chandelier and my turquoise velvet fainting sofa.
Best Advice: You have the power to make your dreams happen! There's so much inspiration out there… follow your heart!
Dream Sources: Anthropologie, and Lounge Lizard vintage in Portland, Oregon!

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love love love this space, shows a lot of soul. Next time I'm in Denver I'm dropping by and having my skin "did" Happy Holidays to you.
Lovely place, and the owner has a beautiful smile.
In Cleveland OH., there is an art studio by night and a hair salon by day – this space is quite similar. You should have little “events” in the evenings at your place. Well done!
Aside from the antlers, this place rocks. Feels more like home than a salon and all those vintage/used pieces are killer.
I'm sad that the beautiful sky blue sofa will fade in time due to it's position in front of the window.
Me too..if ever in Denver....
I love this space..so many cool details...great vibe!
I want to go. Love the space.
Great space, lots of cool stuff happening but that massage table (or whatever it is) looks like a hospital death bed...
Her Best Advice really is!
Superr Cute! I don't wax or anything, if I did it'd be here.
Yeah, I could so live here! I'm not usually a fan of exposed brick, but it really works here. Love the way it's decorated and the old glam movie stars hanging up. And I totally use vintage ads as art also!
Awesome! Hopefully, a home tour is soon to come!
I'd love to know how she framed the tv and hid the wires!
yeah, this would be a great space to party in. cool shop
Very Cool..what nice place, Thanks for this blog i got more idea now on renting apartment.
I love that space as a salon. Seems genuinely relaxing - like having your best girlfriend do your makeup. And the owner is darling!
You are totally babin and your space is a dreamboat. Wonder if I'll ever make it there all the way from Oz?
works wonderful. i love exposed brick
realy a good idea to position the chaise longe in this way at the window? no way to look out without wrench the neck, and in wintertime a bad cold air will cool the neck...
emmm well, sorry, but this way i wouldn't have been doing ...
my tipp to do it better: break a hole in the wall beside the window, postition an old wood- or gas-burnig oven there and position the chaise longe at the opposite wall.
emm ... break a hole into the wall? ya, for the smoke-pipe of the wood-burning oven. there are also smoke-pipes for installing outside made of stainless steel. they are made to use for only one oven. you'll have to ask for that your hardware dealer.
well, thinking about this arrangement one more tiime while my lady is beside me ... good light for reading ... but all in all ... i would have been doing in an other way.
Awesome place. I've been dreaming of living in an old loft with exposed bricks, and this could have been easily IT!!. From the choice of decor, furniture and colors...it's definitely a WOW!! Will put this on my list of places to visit in Denver :).
What an amazing place to work! I love the vibe. So lovely. ❤
So inspiring! love the eclectic decor.
Loved this cute place, and I agree...I live in Portland and I go to Lounge Lizard ALL THE TIME! Best resource ever!
Absolutely love this! I could live there!
Yay for recycling (beautifully!) an old space for your business...rather than being sucked into the suburban strip malls. What an enjoyable choice for your clientele.
fainting sofa :-):-) :-)
exquisite place! definitely the old hollywood classy vibe while contemporary and unique.
So cozy! Love the brick wall and all the great details!
Makes me want to endure the pain of a waxing just to visit :)
Love your space and your response to Best Advice...priceless! Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration!
this girl is just darling!
VERY cool! right down to the chenille table spread and the rolling, mismatched doors in great colors. girl, you got you some style! miss denver so much...
