Emery (15 months)
Kenora, Ontario, Canada
While I was pregnat and looking for inspiration for my baby's nursery, I was drawn to the color blue, so naturally, I thought I must be having a boy. However, since we decided not to find out the sex, I decided not make it too boyish, just in case. So I found a robin's egg blue for the walls which I thought could work for a boy or a girl and added pops of bright color in the accessories to make it more gender neutral. The hits of color in the carpet tiles, artwork and bedding all help to make the space more playful and fun and not too boyish, which is a good thing because baby Emery turned out to be a girl!
Tip for Using Color: Choose a color theme that coordinates with bright colors. Most children's toys are bright and colorful and as you accumulate more and more toys, instead of them just becoming a mess, they become accessories in the room.
Colors Used: White - Mountain Peak White (Benjamin Moore Paints). Blue - Bird's Egg Blue (Benjamin Moore Paints)
Thanks for your colorful entry Lindsay and good luck!
