Desire To Inspire is on our daily hit list, and again they've shown us something we otherwise would never have come across. Emiliano López Mónica Rivera Arquitectes from Barcelona create minimalist modern spaces that are all focused on the views.
Situated in a vista-less environment, the Hotel Aire de Bardenas in Tudela, Spain creates its own views with gigantic square windows that all but dare you not to focus on the composition within their frames. The windows provide exterior shots of settings for simple lifestyle activities like sitting and bathing, and interior views of all-white beds and lounge seating. Because of the region's hot, dusty climate, the hotel was interestingly conceived as several concentric layers of barriers to the natural elements.
