- Inspiration for my palette:
- After having dark walls and curtains in the bedroom of our previous home, we were ready for something light and refreshing. We are slowly adding "pops" of color.
- Colors used in my room
- Pale blue, gray, and green
- Tips for using color successfully
- Sometimes less is more. A bright color can make more of a statement when mixed in with a lighter palette.

Great room.
I'm a fellow contestant (in the same category). I love your bed and the eclectic use of all your other furniture and other items throughout the room. The pops of aqua are wonderful and the light grey on the walls is perfect.
Good luck!!
I really love your room. There are 2 things that don't really work for me, but I think it is a lovely room, very restful and has some great touches.
Are those plates from Target on the wall? I love the room--the aqua and grey work well.
One of my favorite color combinations! Love how the room is neutral but with pops of color!
Love the dresser and the pottery on top.
I lvoe your room! I think its great how all the elements work together beautifully and makes the room look so cosy. I would like to know where you got that wicker chair and sheets from. Thank you!
I'm looking to paint my whole house in a grey like this, so beautifully cool and calm! I like the combination with the slightly darker curtains.
I also love the pottery on top of the chest of drawers, and particularly the quilt cover/ sheet. Where did you get it?
Good luck!
Thanks for all the great comments! In answer to the questions:
--The plates are from target. They are plastic; I think they were $2 a piece.
--The duvet cover is from Bed, Bath, and Beyond about 3 years ago.
--The gray sheets are from target.
--The wicker chair is from Pier 1 Imports about 9 years ago.
Beautiful furniture. Antique, yeah? And the blue accents are perfect.
Where did you get the drapes? They appear to be a mauve-y grey...am I right? I'm looking for something similar for my bedroom, which is also a mauve/grey but darker and pink with some silver and green highlights..
The drapes are Target a few years ago. They are not really "mauvey" in real life, but I think they would look great with mauve!
I love the mismatched night tables!
