Emmett's Travel-Inspired Nursery

My Room

Name: Emmett
Location: Toronto, Canada

Emmett’s nursery was a collaborative effort. While some of the details were planned in advance, his arrival being three weeks early meant almost everything was put together (including the furniture) when he was already here!

My husband and I love to travel. The inspiration for the travel theme grew from one of our early purchases - this piece illustrated by Jenny Kostecki.

My favorite piece in the room is the dresser. It is an IKEA STUVA system. In the early sleep-deprived months my husband carefully and lovingly put the stickers in collage format on the inside of the doors. We have left the Polaroid style frames blank so that we can insert photos of our son on future trips.

The vintage travel posters on one of the walls are all places that my husband and I have visited. Even the bedding works with the theme and incorporates my husband’s love of maps.

We hope our son will enjoy travel as much as we do!

Source List:
