Empire State of Pen from BigAnimal on Vimeo.
I dare you to watch this video only once. In it, artist Patrick Vale draws the lower Manhattan skyline freehand — and yes, it's every bit as amazing as it sounds.
An accomplished architectural illustrator from the U.K., Vale has drawn cities from London to Santa Monica. His NYC video is especially mesmerizing however, since it allows the viewer to watch his process while seeing the world's most iconic skyline unfold. Seriously, you can't just watch it once.

The detail on this city-scape is probably more detailed and is amazing in it's own right - but this artist does similar drawings from memory.
