Mono°goen°—a collaboration between art director Chie Morimoto, sculptor Yuji Kamioka and designer Ji-Lin Hsu—recently released their latest line of made-to-order products: a series of hybrid plant furniture inspired by storytelling. Each piece is designed around a living, growing plant and based on a concept or story.

Shown above the jump, from left to right

1+2 The Earth and the Tree, inspired by the song "Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree," features a town nestled in the "roots" of the tree.
3+4 Sky and a Tree is based on a short story about a lake, the sun and trees. The sky is reflected onto the lake and showcases a rainbow.
5 In the Woods, based on a short story about two trees that offer views of both the mountains and the sea.
