Annie's post on wallpapered accent walls reminded us of how much we love multi-purpose twin beds. They're a perfect way to incorporate guest beds into comfy seating. Here's a collection of the end-to-end layout from our archives and around the web:

these are great additions to a home.
Great idea.
Now that's a great idea brought back to life.
The condo we rent on the ocean has this arrangement as additional sleeping possibilities. Comfy either way!
hm. Twin mattresses were on sale at Ikea for $20 last week.... I'm getting inspired....
I especially love photo one since it would be a perfect set up for a studio apartment. Picture four is making me think dorm room for some reason.
I did this in my rec room/guest room! I was inspired by the #1 post. It's a pretty economical, super-useful solution. We put trunk latches on the top and bottom of each bed so we can latch them together to make a king-sized bed. Two twin beds, one king bed, and two couches from two pieces? Awesome!
End-to-End Twins. Hmmm ... Brilliant.
I had this in my bedroom growing up, only the "intersection" of the beds was covered by a large table and the beds were lined with bolster pillows against the walls and fitted bedcovers to make them look like a seating area by day. Whenever I had a guest sleepover, we simply pulled out the bed that was under the table. Brilliant!
I have one of these daybeds: http://gusmodern.com/products1/sofas/james-lounge/james-lounge.shtml#james-lounge from Gus*Modern and I love it! so much more comfortable as seating than a bed would be but still fits a twin sheet and looks neat and tidy without a bunch of throw pillows!
I wish you could link directly to the last picture instead of to costalliving.com. I'd love to see whatever pictures there are associated with it, as my search turned up nothing.
use end to end twins from charlesprogers.com if you still want to be able to have feet flat on the floor for sitting
