The Greener Gadgets design competition has had some great entries this year. One of which is this rocking horse which harvests the kinetic energy from rocking and puts it to use in the form of light. Details after the jump!

Rocco the rocking horse was entered in the Greener Gadgets competition and we think it's a pretty cool invention. Rocco's handles are removable and grow brighter the more they're charged up.

They double as a flashlight or night light, though secretly we're hoping for one that powers lamps, does our laundry or even vacuums for us. We know it's probably too much to ask for, but the future isn't that far off is it?

You can see more entries and vote on your favorite from their contest page. If your rocking horse harvested energy, what would you like it to run? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
