I wouldn't spend money to engrave an iPod. They die often enough that it's easier to buy a fancy silicone cover. Also the same for the laptops. If you go to Etsy.com and search for "vinyl laptop" you will find vinyl decals (in very pretty designs) that you can reuse on other laptops if you ever had to upgrade or replace.
