Ercol Bar Stool
woo hoo! My favorite time of year!
finally!!!!!! can't wait to see this year's entries!
yaaayyyyy
This is such good motivation to get things done. Today I made some curtains, painted and reupholstered a dining chair, hung a photo, and did a general clean.
Still more stuff to do, but I should be ready to submit by Monday or Tuesday, depending on when the weather clears enough to have natural light. I wonder what the turn around will be for knowing if you were selected...
I can't wait to see all the pretty apartments.
My favourite AT contest! :)
YEA!!!!!
Small Cool and Crowded
It's so strange seeing my home pop up in my Google Reader while I'm perusing the news. Good luck to everyone this year!
Yay!! Small cool is my favorite time at AT.
This is definitely not my year to enter, but I can't wait to see the competitors.
However, is the contest page with all the entries displaying screwily for anyone else?
I totally give up on the contest, It’s all a numbers game, it’s not about having good taste or how beautiful your apartment is, it’s all about how many people you know and getting them to vote foe you, you might as well have a “Who has the nicest pair of socks contest” the results would be the same, I’ve entered three years in row but unfortunately I don’t know thousands of people to vote for me so I guess the people who claim they have hundreds or thousands of friends on Face Book will win not to mention AP gets all these people to log on there website, it’s a win win for AP.
I think AP should do the voting and maybe get some well known interior designers as guest judges, I think the outcome would be very different. On the other hand I can move into a walk in closet and fill it with Ikea furniture and mismatched crap from the flea market since that’s what everyone seems to be voting for.
Woah-ho there labrooklyn, take a breather. I believe the point of this contest is exactly for "real" [more or less] people to vote on their favorite style. If we wanted to watch professional interior designers, we would just watch HGTV all day. I can say with certainty that I know none of the entrants but look forward to Small Cool this year as I did last year.
I participate because Small Cool is something fun and inspiring [personally, I live in a tiny studio]. I am 99% sure most AT users participate for the very same reasons.
I'm certainly one of those 99%, ohkatie.
I have to admit that I usually don't look at anything other than teeny tiny, and not even all entrants in the category, because larger apts seem more about decorating than small space design and/or efforts to deal with the lack of it. *shrug*
If you entered this year labrooklyn, perhaps AT will let your withdraw your entry?
I hope my place gets in, just entered!
