The owner of this English Tudor "castle" in St Francis Wood was looking to create a space with a masculine feel, but one that women would find comfortable, too. The finished result, envisioned by interior designer Lawanna Cathleen Endonino, offers contemporary elements that manage to blend smoothly with the traditional architectural elements of the home. And yet... there was something about this makeover that we were a little on the fence about. The color palette, while warming, felt a little blah, and we couldn't pick out much of the owner's tastes, save for some of the art (though the designer did purchase some of it, as well). Then we realized that this area is is strictly for renting out or entertaining, and the "private quarters" had yet to be touched. Well, ah ha! For an event space we think it makes more sense, but what do you think of the look?
