Eric Manigian works primarily with a few small millers who have relationships with local arborists and tree doctors. When they receive felled trees that were cut down due to construction, disease and other factors outside of commercial tree harvesting, Eric salvages these trees for his designs, and saves them from being left to rot, chopped up for firewood, or dragged to a landfill.

All of his pieces are designed and created using traditional hand-joinery with a hand rubbed natural oil finish. The two pieces we saw at the show, the Chalet loveseat and the Asterisk Rocker, both part of the Eve Series, featured mod lines and hand-carved back supports all made from salvaged elm.
