What paint color is that? it's a nice teal. Although, you really lose those great molding details at the ceiling on the white wall. I wish they would paint the rest of the room.

It looks terrific! I think it really is bright and comfy: just the sort of place you'd want to hang out in all the time.

We've done one of our rooms in teal, and then I just started adding some red accents -- it wasn't what I would have anticipated, but the two colors look great together! I love this first photo, but the white wall sort of bugs.

This is like Betty Paige's living room. Adorable -- I do wish the white wall was teal too, but it might be a color flow issue, since that wall looks into another room.

Wonderful use of color! The white wall keeps it more modern looking. If all the walls were teal it would look too grandmotherly and overwhelimingly teal.

Love the teal color. Love that buffet and how you have it tablescaped. Love the mixing of chairs and furniture. Love the cat on the coffee table. Love the red and teal together. Love. Love. Love. This room exemplifies having style on a budget. The fancy Chicago penthouses are fabulous for sure but there is just something very satisfying about seeing spaces done like this. Stone cold fab-u!

The buffet table underneath the octagon window is a nice balance. Not your typical color combo either.

Often vintage looks are too kitschy for my taste ... but not in this case. It is well put-together.
RE: white wall, I agree with the post by lcb above.

Those Home Depot blocks on the crown molding just shout "somebody doesn't know how to miter", and need to go. Cute colors.

I love it. I think the white wall helps balance it out...my only instinct is to put that red chair at a diagonal and the white chest as well maybe? It looks like there is a space issue, but it gives it that railway car look right now with everything against the walls.

I'm digging the coffee table and do enjoy that red and white chair.

Fun! Please oh please paint that white wall, and not necessarily teal (great color!). Maybe a toned down teal, almost a light wash of color, a tint that isn't white but has a hint of teal. Also the dark couch weighs down that side of the room, perhaps a throw or covering that will add another pop of color that isn't so dark will balance the color sense overall. I was thinking red but a muted, smoky one so as to not have a blast of red that would again weigh down the room too. I think perhaps a balancing against the red and white chair would work. Don't know....but the couch just makes that side of the room feel unconnected to the rest of the space. Lining up the pillows is too geometric - maybe loosen up that arrangement. Maybe just different size pillows with infusions of color will balance the dark sofa and let the room have more flow.

The room is actually not quite done yet, and I do have wishy-wsahy plans for the white wall....but right now it IS a big distracting white wall :) There are actually two white walls.

We have some major challenges with the room....

1. Its small - living room dining room combined is 12' x 20'

2. It has four doorways in that tiny space....the kitchen, the hallway, the front door and the large kitchen doorway.

3. The sofa stays. (Its actually a lighter color than it appears in this picture)

4. $$

i was very curious about the color myself - i'm preparing to revamp my kitchen in teal & red :D

since nobody has posted since july, i figured i'd go onto the sherwinn williams website and try to find the shade myself. in one picture it looks bluer, and the other a little greener. for anyone who's still checking on this post for it, i narrowed it down to four possiblities:

holiday turquoise -SW0075
aqueduct -SW6758
cooled blue -SW6759
mariner -SW6766

i'll definitely be choosing one of these for my kitch!
