If Erin's home looks a tad too clean, it's because it's been staged to sell. We got an email from her saying she was selling her beloved ranch-style house in Austin, but we saw so many things we love in the photos she included we had to share.
A lover of vintage finds and good art, Erin's (of the blog Design Crisis) home is eclectic, yes, but also very sophisticated. Lots of earthy colors anchor the space, while punches of bold hues lend a youthful feel. We love the interesting details that make the space really feel like a unique home, like that fun painted pattern on the ceiling of the entryway, the wallpaper on an accent wall and the home's wall paint color palette, full of rich grays. From Erin:
"This is our sweet 60s ranch house, and the place we have called home for the last four and a half years. It came to us with rental beige walls and plywood cabinets, but we were undeterred. Over time we ripped out the kitchen, replaced tile floors, planted a garden, wallpapered, and of course we painted. And repainted. Then we painted some more (big fans of paint here).
Now we're moving on to a house with another bedroom, one where two kids and a work-from-home family can coexist more peacefully. But we hope that whoever buys our old house will love it as much as we do. It's funny how a place can become such a huge part of who you are."
You can see lots more photos of the public and private spaces of Erin's house on her blog. You can also see Erin's little boy's room that was featured on Ohdeedoh: A Baby Bachelor Pad With A Bit Of Blue.
