Ah, a balcony on which to step outside directly from one's apartment! Anywhere you put it, a balcony can be a wonderful thing. But an escape to a Parisian balcony can hardly be topped!

When I was in Paris during my college years, I stayed in a very tight little room with nothing more than a bed (as in, I had to step over the bed to get to the bathroom). But there was a wonderful little balcony that stretched across the entire length of room (and bathroom)! Since then, I've stayed in many, many beautiful hotels with amazing views and balconies. In fact, I've lived with balconies on a few occasions. But nothing comes close to that lovely little Paris balcony. It was just so charming and unexpected. Who needs floor space when you have a view of Paris!
