Things aren't so bad these days, but there was a point in time when we had a t-shirt problem. We had more t-shirts than we knew what to do with. T-shirts we'd purchased; T-shirts that had been given to us at events; T-shirts that appeared mysteriously in our drawers.
Like we said, things aren't as bad these days, but we've still got so many t-shirts that are old and never worn, we wish we knew how to make something like this ourselves.
This Recycled T-Shirt Rug ($78) by Talking Squid look so soft and cozy. We'd like one in our bedroom to save our feet from the cold wood floors in the morning. Or in the bathroom as a large, funky bath mat.
The rug is handmade from 100% discarded t-shirts and, thus, it's machine washable.
If grey isn't your thing, Talking Squid has plenty of other colors to look through.

i LOVE this and would love to know how to make it myself! any thoughts? tutorials? ideas? thanks!
Much MUCH cheaper to make yourself, especially if you have the shirts around already. Just search google for "tshirt rug how to" and there ya go. They're super easy to do.
love this! gonna make one. people, what do you think? does it need to be one color to look good or would mixed work?
