"Guess what. I saw an iPhone 4 today." So began the after-work conversation at our house last night. Needless to say, the Apple gadgets are like members of the family in our household. So when we came across these upcycled and reclaimed docking stations for iPods, iPhones, and even the iPad, well, we were smitten. All handmade, they're the perfect companion for your favorite gadgets—and some of 'em won't even break the bank.

First up, the most intricate one, and our favorite: a steampunked typewriter tricked out with speakers: Docking Station Steampunked Royal Typewriter with Speakers for your MP3 Player/iPod, $150, by Sarah Anntiques.

Here's one cut out of a rock: iPhone/iPod iRock Dock, $70, from GreenTape

And one made from the stave of a wine barrel: Reclaimed Wood iPod and iPhone Dock Charger, $65, by SwedishGuyDesign

These two are handmade by the seller from local cedar: iPhone/iPod docking station with speakers, $238, by woodtec

And we couldn't resist the iPad/iPhone/iPod docking station from woodtec too, at $78.

What about an upcycled 8-Track? It plays your music once again: Rock Dock Cheap Trick at Budokahn iPod/iPhone dock, $24.95, by Geek Unique. (not pictured)

Or one made from a Nintendo controller, also from Geek Unique: Rock Dock Nintendo Controller, $34.95. (not pictured)
