Tea towels seem to be the kitchen towel du jour, but as Susie recently pointed out, not all towels are created equally when it comes to absorbency. Based on her advice, here's a roundup of 100% cotton tea towels. Some are from flour sacks others are organic, but all are cute enough to grace your kitchen when not in use.

Nomade Express Slee...
I feel like these are too lovely for the average kitchen mess, but they would be perfect hand towels for the bathroom.
These are great! I especially like the middle ones in the second row. Very pretty. Here are some thick cotton tea towels that show a bit of Cincinnati love:

These are so lovely. Too bad the ones I want are already sold out!
And now I (or I should say you, Jess) have finally found just the right hostess present for and aesthetically driven friend. Thanks from me and from my bud Colleen.
Great house warming/holiday gift idea!!
great housewarming/holiday gift idea!
Tea towels are the "kitchen towel du jour"? Come to country Australia- they are certainly not "du jour" but rather have always been. No other drying implement has ever been as common here.
I love wrapping gifts with tea towels - these are so pretty, perfect to tuck a gift within the folds!
