Kevin, the one-man show behind the Etsy shop Flatpatterns, didn't design the Pinwheel specifically to hold toys, but he says, "There have been so many people who have said, “What is it, a toy box?” I decided to make one as a toy box. Apparently I’m pretty easy." Works for us!
Made of 3/4" thick Baltic birch with a white laminated interior, the Pinwheel Toy Box is both sturdy and practical. The 1/2" thick top is finished with chalkboard paint and features a hinge suppressor to ensure that nobody's fingers get pinched when the top is closed.
The beauty of Flatpatterns designs is that, like Ikea, each item is shipped flat and easily assembled by you, keeping pieces affordable and shipping costs low. Unlike Ikea, however, each Flatpatterns design can't be found in the playroom of every one of your child's friends.

But $235 for a toy box!
His prices are also most unlike Ikea.
yeah, he's definitely overcharging, and i do believe that craftspeople should be paid what something's worth. i hate when artists and craftspeople overcharge - it seems antithetical to their work.
