You can seemingly get anything delivered within a few hours, and now New Yorkers can count handmade items amongst those available in a rush. Etsy ASAP is a new pilot program that lets shoppers request same- or next-day delivery in the New York Metro area for an additional fee.
The pilot launched with a select group of New York-based sellers and about 5,000 products who can adjust what their ASAP inventory is in real time, with app-based service Postmates is handling the actual deliveries.
The Brooklyn-based marketplace is charging consumers a flat fee of $20 for the service, which is markedly higher than Amazon Prime Now and UberRUSH (which are in the $5-$8 range).
If you're in the delivery ZIP codes (Manhattan, parts of Brooklyn & Queens), you can see all available products at Etsy ASAP.
