Name: Evan (2 years old)
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Even though our Evan is just two years old, he seems like a very mature little tornado. We knew he was ready for a "big boy" room and with a second baby on the way we knew we needed to get him a toddler bed and to get rid of the crib.
We wanted nice modern furniture that we knew we could keep for a while. We were able to ship from the states, not without a hassle, 2 baby blue vitra panton chairs, the Oeuf toddler bed in walnut and the Oeuf mini-ibrary. We've had the vintage Knoll chair for about 10 years now, and it used to be in Evan's nursery when we lived in Bangkok. We got the bedding at Target from the Dwell Studio for Target collection.
As you can see, the room is tiny. But it is just perfect for our toddler. We had the curtains made to fit the Indonesian standard sizes. We are still missing some artwork but it's not easy to find what we want in Indonesia. We are just collecting bits and pieces everywhere we go.

Shaw's Original Fir...
This room is spot on! Can you tell me where you got the floor mat? I'm looking for something just like it.
Thanks!
The room is tiny? We can only see one side of the room, but unless it ends right past the bed, it's probably the size of my master bedroom.
Great big boy room! We also just transitioned our 2-year-old son to a rocket ship-themed "big boy" room this weekend to make way for our next child.
natemne - the mat is by Tadpoles - we had the same one.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I should mention that as of late 2010, both France and Belgium have banned foam mats due to "toxic formamide" and "reproductive carcinogens." We don't use ours anymore, and of course now I feel great about my son gnawing on those mats as a wee one.
Thanks for featuring Evan's room. It's definitely still a work in progress as it is not always easy to get everything we want here in Indonesia. The foam mats are from Tadpoles as Velouria mentioned, by the way, thanks for the heads up about their ban. The room has a small hall about 1 meter long after the bed and then there's the door. We consider it smallish compared to his previous nursery and our <http://stumbleabroad.net/2012/02/05/sugar-and-spice-and-everything-blue/> baby's nursery Which by the way is also a work in progress since we had a boy instead of a girl as we had been told =P.

Very cute! We use the same bedding in my son's room. I'd love to know where you got the wall decals.
Hi Bethany, thanks for your comment! I love the bedding, too bad they don't sell it anymore. We got the decals last year on Etsy from Toodles Decals . Looks like their etsy shop is not working anymore, though. Have a great week!
