The overlapping colours transform the layout of the apartment and add a new structure of spaces linked to each other across the original plan. The parquet floor also function as a uniting system that offer design possibilities. Once we had a set up of colours in different shades, we could develop each room in relation to the others, every piece of parquet was defined to fit into the right position, there was no random factor in the construction process...
White furniture: when its all rendered in white, the physical design of each furniture is highlighted. At the same time it made it possible to create a coherent ensemble including pieces from very different designers and times.

How do fill those rooms!?
I love the library. I bet it would look amazing filled with color coordinated books.
I am a big fan of color but not this.
I'm with colleen2009.
I feel like the color combinations are too dated, 70's-ish, yikes! I'm not a fan of herringbone patterned flooring anyways...
And that white furniture! I like white, but it's all so sterile looking!
Love it!... does anyone know where the white chairs are from? both the wooden dining chairs & the tufted dining chairs?
I don't think I could ever relax with this much color and patterns going on.
It's beautiful, I would absolutely love to live there. It looks so spacious, warm and it has a lovely smooth intense clarity. The only things I don't like are the big white couch and big white horse. I think these look dated. I don't think the coloured floor will date as it's so outside of fashion.
I'd probably be able to live with one room like that in my house. Pretty as it may be, it's very overwhelming with all its colour and design.
For me, the colors and the patterns are very overwhelming and as a migraine sufferer I think my head will definitely explode in those spaces, especially the kitchen.
I suppose I can appreciate the rest of the house as art, but I can't handle that kitchen. Ouch. It may have been better if the island were white.
I actually think that the colors recede they are so saturated, and the pixelization into different rooms creates a flow that enlarges the space.
The white furniture adds to the restfulness...I think this is much simpler than many other rooms we see on AT.
I'm genuinely shocked that anyone could not love this. It makes me sooo happy! It would be like living in a Kandinsky painting. I think y'all are just upset because it's not beige or grey. Say no to monochrome!
i think this is brilliant. i'd move there in a second!
Interesting but I think I would have a seizure if I had to spend anytime in the space.
It might be a little much to live with every day for me but I would get downright giddy if I walked into someone's place and it looked like this. Also to have enough room for a full sized horse in your dining room is awesome!
Is anyone else reminded of that edgar allen poe story The Masque of the Red Death? Castle with seven rooms in different colors? I think the house above is a bit more cheerful, but still...
I "heart" that dining room! The white horse sculpture is fantastic!!
How big is this place? It looks enormous, like you would need 15 people living there to make it feel less cavernous. I think its really cool but in a weird way it reminds me of a convention center or something, definitely not an apartment for a family.
For me this apartment is so intensely satisfying. So much time is spent worrying about re-sale value, or what your landlord will/won’t let you do, and making "safe" choices afraid of permanence. This apartment is like a big F@#% YOU to beige. It’s bold and I LOVE IT!
I love the idea, beautiful colors... it's art, pure art. I am not sure if I could live in that... the library is dizzying ;-) but the genius behind... I love how the colors change one into another.
seems like a place that would make a great setting for a kubrick film.
I think I would mind it less if the floors didn't continue up onto the walls. Then it might actually flow instead of just assaulting the eyes.
does anyone know who makes the dining room chairs and daybed?
nevermind... found them.
I love color. I love pushing the boundaries. I love this design. But, of course there's a but, I couldn't live with so much angular shots of shifting background. I really would feel ill. Like the feeling you get after a fast spinning ride at the carnival. Love to see people doing things like this, tho. Would be a cool restaurant.
wow this is definitely DIFFERENT. i guess it's better to stand out than to blend in, right? btw the kitchen is amazing! did you use faux soft metal stainless steel adhesive for the countertop?
LEX_KM: Who are the dining room chairs by? This would be a great help if you have this information. Thanks in advance :)
