For all you folks who live in or near Austin, or will have the happy fortune of being here this weekend, be sure to check out the Austin Green Living & Home Products Expo. Austin is making more and more steps to help citizens live more greenly (just this month they've unveiled the high-speed metro rail line for commuters and offered $2 off for each CFL bought at the grocery store!), and this expo is a great way to learn all about specific ways to go even greener at home.

Being Austin, there will of course be live music... and a green fashion show full of affordable styles with a green twist. We're especially looking forward to the organic cooking demonstrations. This is a traveling show, so read on for more details and check to see if the expo is coming to you any time soon.

The expo, held in the Austin Convention Center, is open from Friday, Feb. 27, until Sunday, March 1. Admission for adults 17 and up is only $7.50, and kids 16 and under are free. Check their website for directions and hours.

When you're done checking out the green goods on Sunday, you can head over to the park for the Zilker Kite Festival for more good, clean fun!
