Last Thursday evening I had the pleasure of attending the opening of Squint's new showroom in South Kensington. Squint has been a fixture in the edgy Shoreditch design scene for years, but with their price point they were long overdue for a stunning showroom in the West End. The evening was a celebration of the British made over the top colorful patchwork furniture creations of Lisa Whatmough. It was nice to see their signature patchwork style evolving into gorgeous monochromatic pieces and more delicate silk patchwork pieces.
The new showroom boasts an open garden space and a gorgeous open ceiling. The South Kensington location will have lamps, cushions, and other small accessories available for takeaway. In addition to her bespoke furnishings, Lisa is also releasing her first line of fabrics and wallpapers.
