I have a bad habit of jotting things down all over the place. Scrap piece of paper, a note on my phone, back of my hand. The problem comes when I need to actually find and read that note. I usually can't. Enter Evernote.
Described as 'your external brain', evernote lets you take photos or highlighted website text and images and compile them in a client on your computer. Say you were renovating your home fireplace and wanted to recall all the different pictures you have seen online, while at different restaurants, or in the different magazines you have read. If you have taken a picture of it or highlighted the image, evernote will be able to pull all of them up by simply entering the search term fireplace. It can even find text in images so that you can look up that Australian Shiraz you had while on vacation. Not bad at all, I could use the help.
