As the old saying goes, part of keeping your home tidy and organized is having a place for everything and everything in it is place. This notion holds true in every room of the house &mdahs; even the shower stall. The simple shower caddy not only keeps your shampoos and other bathtime accouterments neatly corralled, it also puts everything at eye level when you need it most.

I like the owl one!
Any recommendations for a shower caddy that is good with large bottles and also bottles with pumps?
I have had the "Extra Soar-age" cady for about 6 months now and really like it. It fits large salon-size bottles just fine and has lots of good features I never even thought I needed. It is actually by Umbra and can be found on Amazon with free shipping, if you have Prime.
Some of these are held in place by a suction cup... irony.
we have the simple human one in both bathrooms. because of the position of our shower head versus the somewhat short length of the center shaft, we had to remove one of the two baskets on each, but it still holds plenty (and it was a fairly easy process = one screw).
the body is made of aluminum and plastic, so there's little rust there, which is (really) great. the baskets themselves, however, are chromed, coated steel* and we've had slight rust issues (and flaking coating) on one that was remedied by a light scrub with bar-keepers friend and a re-spray with a clear coating.
additionally, the rubber collar on the top and lower suction cup help it to stay /very/ stable against the shower wall.
* why you'd be so smart and mark a wet-area item out of aluminum and plastic but use a rust-able metal for the baskets is beyond me... simple human folks: i hope the 2.0 model features either stainless steel baskets or polished aluminum.
We have the • 3-Basket Shower Caddy from Container Store and it is PERFECT for bath toys! just throw them all in. Love it.
(edit: * why you'd be so smart and /make/ a wet-area item...)
My only gripe with shower caddies are when they start to peel and rust, that gets me more than anything. Completely gross IMHO. If you can find me something that does not wear over time then I'd be all over it. Or maybe I'm just buying cheapo stuff and that's why it peels and then rusts?
I have the umbra bask shower caddie which is like a more sublte/neutral/boring (ymmv) version of the container store caddy. It doesn't stay well on my shower head, but is more stable on the curtain rod than I think the container store one would be. No rusting from the ball chains that I've noticed. If you do put it on the shower head, you can use the suction cups to help stabilize it, but that does depend somewhat on what kind of wall your shower has (ie. if it is tiled and the suction cup falls on a grout line, they will not be very useful....)
Instead of using a shower caddie I am wanting to use the refillable product dispensers. I have seen these in gyms and spas. Does anyone have any recommendations for something like this?
My bathroom has very bad air circulation; mold grows on everything.
I use a tension rod across my shower stall. I hang shower curtain hooks from it. I dispense my shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc. into smaller bottles. I wrap them with rubber bands and loop a rubber band to hang each one from its own hook. My facial brush already has a loop. I use rubber bands for razors, etc. My squeegee even hangs there. I squeegee every surface before I step out of the shower.
Everything is in easy reach, air circulates, mold doesn't form, and my cleaning routine is drastically shortened.
