Eve's whole family loves their sunny, second-story deck. With some lucky deals and some DIY, she made it colorful, fun and party-perfect.
We bit the bullet and built a pergola. We had considered buying a gazebo from a store but they're more expensive than the lumber. Once the pergola was built, we ordered reed fencing online to lay over the top as a roof for some additional shade/filtered sunlight. We also rigged up the space with some string lighting for evening entertaining.
The rest of the items are a mix of online deals and items we repurposed. The adirondack chairs and the chiminea both got a few coats of spray paint. The rug is from World Market (and actually made from a pair to get the right size). The pillow textiles are all Trina Turk - I love her patterns, and I splurged on a few pre-made pillows and some remnants of fabric to finish out the set.
