Our daughter's nursery is sweet, happy, and whimsical. I was inspired by friendly little birds flitting around in a yellow and grey color scheme.
I had a lot of fun DIY-ing most of the room, from her bird mobile, curtains, crib skirt, throw pillows, bookshelf, bunting, artwork, and other decor elements.
It's one of our favorite rooms in our home, mainly because Evie and I spend a lot of time reading, daydreaming, make-believing, playing, singing, and napping in here. It's a bright, cheery, magical space where anything is possible.

Looks great, but could use a bit more color, especially for a child. The stimulus is good for their development.
What a fun room!! Obviously a lot of love and work went into the design. I especially love the bird mobile:)
Looks nice, but I have to admit, not very colorful for a kids room.
I think it's lovely and enjoy the colors. I personally like a nursery that has a calm feel to it.
Wow! This is beautiful. I think the color is fantastic; not too much and not too little. Seriously, it's just right!
Can you tell me where you got the curtain fabric or the maker? I've been looking for yellow polka dot fabric but most is white with yellow polka dots and the reverse that you have makes a bigger impact.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! We live in military housing, so painting the walls isn't really a feasible option for us. We wanted Evie's nursery to be calming and relaxing, while her playroom has more vibrant, stimulating colors.
Bossycross, the fabric is called 'Dandelion' and it's made by Premier Prints; they're dandelions, not polka dots, though.
More details are on my blog so feel free to stop by for tutorials and sources (as well as our playroom and mood board for upcoming baby boy's nursery!):

Thanks so much, Apartment Therapy, for sharing Evie's nursery!
Wow. Impressive. I'd like to see what the rest of the house looks like if this is only the nursery. The birds on the branches are my favorite touch.
