Evie's Soft Stripes

My Room

Name: Evangeline (14 months)
Location: Tulsa, OK

I started putting Evie's nursery together while I was pregnant. I knew I wanted to do stripes on the walls and have lots of white, linen and neutral with fun pops of color- whether we had a girl or a boy. Once we knew she was a girl, I went with coral pinks and blue hues for the doses of color.

We were gifted some of the larger items, like the crib, glider/rocker and rug, but most everything else in the room was a DIY project in some way. I painted all of the stripes, made the curtain panels, painted and distressed the Craigslist dresser/changing table, sewed the ruffled crib skirt and made the LOVE art piece.

The room turned out just as I hoped - very serene and calm and not too "baby." I love that I was able to get creative and work on so many projects in the nursery for Evie, and that she loves the room as much as we do!
