Name: Evita
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
We moved into our house in June of 2009. The backyard was a blank palette and for most of the first year the backyard sat untouched except for the few plants we transplanted from our other house. We started working in earnest last spring (2010) and while we have a long way to go, we have created a peaceful oasis to retreat to during our free time.
Year two is coming along nicely (I don't know if it's a blessing or curse of the mild winter), and it won't be long before the shade sail will have to go up, but we're loving every moment we can during this beautiful spring.

Thanks, Evita!

Where did you get those chaise lounges? I've been looking for something plain and simple like that.
Thanks so much for posting our space, AT! Looks like I made a typo... we moved in June 2010.
@Juliejul - we purchased those at Target in 2009 the week of our wedding, which we just passed our anniversary, for $25 a piece. We were loving the great deal. They've been outside for the three years we've had them and they're still in great shape!
Awesome deal! It's surprisingly hard to find a nice, simple chaise without cushions that need to be washed. These look like the same chairs - http://www.target.com/p/Target-Home-Dumont-2-Piece-Sling-Patio-Chaise-Lounge-Set-Tan/-/A-13794357 - but $199 for a set of 2!
love. great post. m
@JulieJul - I do believe they're the same. And yes, they are quite comfortable without the cushion, btw! We keep the orange one around for my mother to use.
Lovely! Oh how I dream of returning home to Charleston one day--and gardening there!
So cozy! I would never get any work done - I would just lounge there with a glass of wine and a good book. :) Thanks for sharing.
