If exercising more (or, ever) is on your resolution's list this year but finding time to get to a gym or class isn't realistic, are you finding ways to exercise at home instead? And how's that working out for you? We're particularly interested in hearing from parents of babies and small children. If you can find the strength to click your mouse once more, take our survey below the jump.

HOLY (moley) - I, too, have an "Exercise with Gloria" record titled [something to the effect of] "How to Keep Your Husband Happy". I couldn't resist the whole 1950s mentality.
"I plan to start exercising again when my children go to college." -- Ha ha ha ha! No, I do it (er, exercise, that is) in the morning after my 10-month-old has eaten his morning bottle and fallen back asleep. I keep the lights off, try not to breathe too loudly, etc. It's kinda weird, but whatever works, right?
I go to a great "strollercize" class...lots of running, weights, etc. and the kids are buckled in for the whole hour and 15 minutes. It's a drop in class so it works well for the days when you just can't make it...no penalty for missing! I LOVE the class. Have met some great fitness like-minded moms while shedding baby weight. (my two girls are 1 and almost three) Our double jogging stroller (Chariot) was the best 700 $ we ever spent.
Although I'm not completely focused, I do have fun practicing yoga with my 15 month old around. She'll crawl under me and put her face up to mine if I'm in downward dog! Otherwise, I just started 30 minutes of yoga or cardio in the early morning *if* I can wake up early enough before my daughter wakes up (Fit TV from the free On-demand Comcast channel).
We go to the pool as a family (since our son was six weeks). Now (16 months) he actually requests "POOL!" when asked (and sometimes of his own accord). We go almost every day.
I've started waiting to do my morning stretching exercises to when he's awake because he likes watching me, and hearing me count. The tricky part is that while I'm lying on the floor, he either sits right under my head (and pats my hair) or climbs on top of me and giggles. It's hard to exercise when you're trying not to laugh... but it definitely makes wanting to exercise easier.
My daughter is 7 weeks old as of today. Since she was 4 weeks, I've been working out while she sleeps. I alternate between a Rodney Yee yoga dvd and Crossfit exercises (walking lunges, burpees, some other bodyweight exercises that I can do at home; I don't have heavy weights here, so I need to wait until I can return to the gym for that). I hope she'll enjoy exercising with me later.
I'm also a big fan of Exercise TV on Comcast On Demand. It's free, it's not weather-dependent, and it lets me work out whenever I have a minute, which is generally during naptime or after my daughter (almost 1 year) goes to bed. I've had great experiences with the 30-Day Shred and other Jillian Michaels videos. On days that aren't too busy at work, I try to fit in a lunchtime yoga class or two during the week. We've had fun with the jogging stroller on the weekends, too.
