If you ever thought that most chandeliers are too feminine, you might find this one more interesting. Ward Van Gemert is a a Dutch product designer who uses parts from deconstructed chandeliers and creates a monochromatic modern version. They come in three colors – gold, black and white.
His new designs were once the unwanted brass chandeliers that you can find at garage sales or flea markets. Ward uses the electrical wires as the base element for the new construction. We love the idea of reusing an old and outdated object and giving it a new life. It is not only green, but also very creative. As Ward says "I want to make every day objects special / noticed again. An ordinary, often overlooked, product is used to make a new design."
