Round beds always grab our attention, so we love the Baltimore Sun's feature of David Wiesand's gorgeous three-story townhouse. Located in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore City, Wiesand uses the first floor for his business designing, crafting, and selling home furnishings and art. Wiesand and his daughter live in the rest of the 7,000-square-foot house The photos show decadent decor, and especially the bedroom shots. More photos below the jump...

Wiesand combines real antiques with reproductions. He clearly separated his business on the first floor from his home on the second and third floors by installing a wide staircase.

I love the second and third shots, but a round bed screams 1970's hourly-rate motel "honeymoon suite" to me (not that I ever frequented such establishments, it just seemed to be a cliche in sitcoms from the 70's and 80's).
Plus, where does one find sheets for a round bed?
Wow - I'm in love...
Just goes to show you that a house with good bones can withstand even the most garish furnishings.
The light fixture in the kitchen is really pretty.
I like all but the first picture. The round bed looks at odds with the style of the rest of the room.
Does anyone know what color that bedroom wall is? The decorating isn't my style, but I love that shade of mauve-y grey.
I like the second and third pic fo the most part but the first pic is just too pink and busy... the overall style is cool but I think some polishing is needed.
