Yes there is such a thing. Maybe because typography is cool in most any form, or because those of us with perfect 20/20 vision like to impress our coke-bottle-eyed friends with our optical prowess. Either way, eye charts are in. We've featured Heather Lins' eye chart pillow and Fiona Carswell's eye glass tray before, but we keep discovering new ways that people are working this doctor's office staple into home decor.
The pendant light is an old Real Simple favorite that was made by simply covering a plain white drum shade with an eye chart, and gluing ribbon on for trim—voila, eye chart chic :)

We think this commercial style paper towel dispenser from Retro Planet adds a double retro punch in the kitchen.

We also liked this new take on the old school eye chart from Keep Calm Gallery.

I'm not sure if I would have that shade in my house as I might get sick of it, but the photo is totally cute!

there's an optometrist by my house that has eye charts from all different countries hanging in the waiting area as decor. the arabic is especially striking!
These are great inspiration -- my old Philly rowhouse was once owned by an eye doctor whose office was what's now my library/office. I've been wanting to pay homage to its history in some way, and the ideas here are very cool!
